District-level workshops with the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) and the Department of Livestock Office (DLO)
SWAPNO-II has conducted a series of district-level workshops across all 12 project districts to strengthen partnerships with the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) and the Department of Livestock Office (DLO). Recently held sessions have brought together government counterparts and beneficiaries to discuss ways of scaling up climate-resilient livelihood opportunities for rural women.
The workshops focus on building strategic collaboration, promoting knowledge transfer, and facilitating access to locally viable technologies in agriculture and livestock. Each district-level event is followed by field visits, where participants interact directly with women beneficiaries engaged in income-generating activities.
By orienting communities through 283 union-level sessions and establishing demonstration plots led by SWAPNO women, the initiative is paving the way for sustainable, scalable models that empower vulnerable women while enhancing resilience to climate change.
